Nintendo has pulled back the curtain on its long rumored Super NES Classic Edition console! Launching this September, The SNES Classic is shipping with 2 controllers and 21 games in total, including a surprise release of STAR FOX 2, which never saw release on the actual SNES hardware.

F-ZERO
Kirby Super Star
Kirby’s Dream Course
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Secret of Mana

While I am disappointed by the smaller amount of games included with the SNES Classic compared to the NES Classic, the included library has a whole lot more quality games that I think people want. I do scratch my head at the lack of some of the higher profile SNES games, like CHRONO TRIGGER or PILOTWINGS. Regardless, the SNES Classic is going to be a bargain at the asking price of $80, especially when compared to the cost of finding each game on its own with a real SNES. As long as we are actually able to find them in stores this time…
